چکیده

RF ionization rates for mixtures of air with bariurn are computed using a Fokker-Planck code. It is shown that there is an optimum mixing ratio of barium to air, significantly ower than unity, which maximizes the ionization rate for a given value of incident RF power density and frequency. Rocket injection of barium at a selected height reduces ignificant/y the RF breakdown threshold for the mixture, and allows atmospheric and ionospheric breakdown at the selected heights using the radiation from the powerful HF radio facilities. The possibility of field experiments using currently available or projected HF heaters is discussed.

The Study of Breakdown Voltages for Triggered Spark Gap Switches

This study explains the breakdown mechanism in different triggered spark gap switches. Two different trigger electrode configurations are tested for the switch predischarge operation in a nitrogen laser circuit. The behavior of the breakdown voltage, when a trigger pulse is applied to the trigger electrode, is investigated, and the results are reported. Based on the experimental measurements ne...

Arrhythmogenesis and Contractile Dysfunction in Heart Failure Roles of Sodium-Calcium Exchange, Inward Rectifier Potassium Current, and Residual b-Adrenergic Responsiveness

Ventricular arrhythmias and contractile dysfunction are the main causes of death in human heart failure (HF). In a rabbit HF model reproducing these same aspects of human HF, we demonstrate that a 2-fold functional upregulation of Na-Ca exchange (NaCaX) unloads sarcoplasmic reticulum (SR) Ca stores, reducing Ca transients and contractile function. Whereas b-adrenergic receptors (b-ARs) are prog...

Arrhythmogenesis and contractile dysfunction in heart failure: Roles of sodium-calcium exchange, inward rectifier potassium current, and residual beta-adrenergic responsiveness.

Sodium Alginate/Starch Blends Loaded with Ciprofloxacin Hydrochloride as a Floating Drug Delivery System - In Vitro Evaluation

In the present study, Floating Drug Delivery Beads (FDDS) were prepared with sodium alginate/ starch blend as a matrix, sodium hydrogen carbonate as a pore forming agent, methyl cellulose as a binder and barium chloride solution as a hardening agent. In order to prepare the beads with different porosity and morphology the ratio between pore forming agent to polymer blend and ratio of the co...

Poly (methacrylic acid-co-acrylic acid)-grafted polyvinylpyrrolidone coated Magnetic nanoparticles as a pH-responsive magnetic Nano-carrier for controlled delivery of antibiotics

Objective(s): Pharmaceutical industries are leading to improved medications that can target diseases more effectively and precisely. Researchers have intended to reformulate drugs so that they may be more safely used in human body. The more targeted a drug is, the lower its chance of triggering drug resistance, a cautionary concern surrounding the use of broad-spectrum antibiotics. The aim of t...
